Is it free to use?
Yes, The Referral Club is free for both job seekers and referrers. We may introduce premium features in the future, but the core functionality will always remain free.
How is The Referral Club different from other job platforms?
Unlike traditional job boards, we focus specifically on the referral process. Our platform allows users to both seek referrals and offer them, creating a community of mutual support. We also provide transparency into the referral process and gamify contributions to encourage participation.
For Job Seekers
How do I signal interest in a job?
Browse job listings on our platform and click the "Signal Interest" button on any job you'd like to pursue. You'll be prompted to upload your resume and optionally add a brief pitch explaining why you're a good fit for the role.
How do I get more referrers to notice my profile?
Complete your profile thoroughly, including your work experience, education, and skills. Write a compelling pitch for each job you're interested in, highlighting your relevant experience and why you're excited about the role. Being specific and authentic will help you stand out.
What happens after I get referred?
Once you're referred, you'll receive an update on your "My Interests" tab. The referrer may also provide additional information or feedback through our messaging system. The hiring process then follows the company's standard procedures, which may include screening calls, interviews, and assessments.
For Referrers
How do I refer a candidate?
On the "Refer Candidates" tab, you'll see profiles of people interested in jobs at your company. Review their information and click the "Refer" button if you'd like to refer them. You can either upload a screenshot of your referral confirmation or simply mark them as referred via your company's system.
What are the benefits of being an active referrer?
Active referrers earn points for each referral action, which contributes to their status on our leaderboard. Many companies also offer referral bonuses if your referral gets hired. Beyond tangible rewards, you're helping others in their career journey and building a valuable professional network.
Am I obligated to refer everyone who shows interest?
No, you have full discretion over who you refer. We encourage you to refer candidates you believe would be a good fit for the role and your company. You can also use our messaging system to ask candidates additional questions before making a decision.
Account & Privacy
How is my personal information protected?
We take data privacy seriously. Your resume and personal information are only shared with potential referrers for jobs you've explicitly shown interest in. You can also adjust your privacy settings in your profile to control what information is visible to others.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account in the "My Profile" section. Once deleted, all your personal information will be removed from our system. Note that some information may be retained for a short period for backup purposes or to comply with legal obligations.
